High performance 2mm spacing industrial connectors can withstand heavier vibration and impact.

The crimping contacts provided in the form of belt are all right with mass automatic assembly process.

Harwin's new M225 connector family is in a position to withstanding up to 6 hours of 10G vibration and is suitable for industrial applications.

These compact, high-performance wire-to-plate connectors feature a glass fiber reinforced polypropylene sulfide (PPS) enclosure with a strong structure and long service life, with a minimum insulation resistance of 100M, ensuring permanent signal integrity. The new product uses two rows of contacts with 2mm spacing, enabling the through-board PCB public connector to engage with the corresponding busbar connector, supporting a range of different wire sizes (from 22AWG to 28AWG). The rated current of each tin-plated copper alloy common contact is 3.3A (3.0A when all contacts are loaded simultaneously), and the maximum contact resistance is 25 mega. When the connector is joined, a single parent contact has three contact surfaces to engage with the corresponding public contact, and these products can maintain reliable connection even in the most stringent application settings and challenging operating conditions.

Harwin has also developed a mate-before-lock retaining system to increase the retaining force of the joint connector and to facilitate elasticity in vibration. The master connector is fitted with a rubber holder, and the locking pins are loosened at the time of supply. These pins are pushed into the rear of the engagement master connector, which then expands the rubber holder to block the common connector.

Both the male and female connector components have shielded contacts that prevent damage, and polarized housing prevents possible mismatches. The female crimp contact point can be supplied either by scrolling (for mass automated production) or loosely (for prototyping) and by manually pressing tools for small batches. The working temperature range of M225 connector series is - 55 to + 125 to support the service life of 50 joint cycles. Target applications of these components include factory automation and processing machinery, industrial drive, robotics, test/monitoring instruments, hand-held test equipment and industrial automation control.
